Merlot grapes in various clonal selections.
Production area
Mover and Pellegrini plots, located in a hilly area at an altitude of 230 m.a.s.l. near the Agricultural Institute; 10-20% slope, southern exposure. Basal part of the alluvial Faedo fan, calcareous soil, deep, medium texture, fairly good presence of skeleton, good organic matter supply and balanced content of nutrients.
Vineyard characteristics
Installation dated 1989, vine density 5.000 plants/hectare, vertical-trellised, cordon-trained and spur-pruning.
Harvesting
Grapes harvested by hand in late September, output of 70-80 quintals/hectare (1,5 kg/vine).
Vinification
Maceration on marc for 3 weeks and it is pumped over twice daily. After lees are drawn off the wine is racked twice. Matured for 12 months in small oak barrels and then refined in the bottle.

Serving temperature
We recommend to open the bottle an hour before serving at 18-20°C. To get the best from the wine, allow it to breathe by decanting.
Tasting notes and table companions
Ruby red colour with garnet highlights; airy, slightly grassy and characteristic aroma; dry, well-balanced and very balanced taste. Noble, elegant and long-lasting wine.
Fine with first courses dressed with meat or mushroom sauces. Ideal partner for roasts and game.
